Inventory

Know what you have and where it is. Every addition, removal, and transfer is logged with timestamp, user, and reason.

Items and stock levels

Each item has a SKU, description, unit of measure, category, and optional suppliers. On-hand quantity updates as soon as stock moves — receiving, production, shipping, transfer, or adjustment. There is no batch sync to wait on.

Set a reorder point per item. FerroSync flags anything approaching the threshold so purchasing can act before a line goes idle. CSV import loads a catalog with row-by-row validation if you are coming from spreadsheets.

Warehouses and transfers

Run multiple locations from one company. Transfer stock between warehouses with a tracked movement; both on-hand balances and the audit trail update together. Barcode lookup works in the web app and the mobile companion on the floor.

Lots, expiry, and FEFO

Enable lot tracking on items that need a batch identity. Receive and produce into lots with expiry dates. Picking follows first-expired, first-out so nothing ships stale. A recall is a query across receipts, production, and shipments — not a warehouse walk.

Serial numbers

Serialize individual units when you need unit-level history. Capture serials on receipt or at production completion, then follow each unit through sale. Lot and serial can both apply; use lots for batches and serials for the units inside them.

Transfers and adjustments

Cycle counts and write-offs are adjustments with a required reason. Those post quantity and the matching ledger entry so shrinkage does not silently drift the books. Production consume/produce and sales ship are covered in manufacturing and orders.

Costing and availability

Receipts revalue on-hand at moving average. Production completions and shipments consume that cost so COGS and inventory on the general ledger stay in lockstep with the warehouse.

Sales orders reserve stock. Production orders commit components when created. Available-to-promise nets on-hand against reserved, held, and incoming purchase orders.
